CBC’s Dec. 10 story describes how a bus-versus-thrift-store accident in New Westminster bears witness to some basic Dragnet-like news reporting — “just the facts ma’am,” and all that.
Essentially, it details how a recently, renovated Salvation Army thrift store wall gave way to gravity and thus the the wheels on a Translink bus (along with the rest of the vehicle).
Missing, however, was whether the $100,000-plus damage to either — or — the store and bus would fall under some financial coverage, or whether the insurance earls would write either case off as an “act of god“.
